Music Festival

Time flies and music festival is over. Sigh~ right now i've to prepare for annual dinner's song. Quartet music festival was really awesome, althought i don't really like the sound system over there, even Mr Collin agreed lol~.

There're 6 little star group: Anbante, Crotchet, G-Clef, Fine, Coda and Minim. For heat up group: Rainy Day, Music Warfare, Revenant Symphonic, Octave, I-Sevens, Last Minute, Rubber Band Hot Stuff, Miracle, As Long As You Love Me, Sovereign, LoveWay and U-Turn. For X-pro group: Tied Down, Signify My Conscience, Red Lotus and Indeed Intricate.

For the heat up category, the champion goes to Octave. Congratulation Gary and his band~! For X-pro category, Red Lotus won. My group, Tied Down the 2nd, we really did our best, but we don't like that bald head guy judge. 2 years ago we joined the Quartet Music festival and HE is one of the judges who gave a lot of sh*t comment to my band=.=" Oh well... Signify My Conscience got the 3rd, and my another group Indeed Intricate got the last lol~

My band members for Tied Down are Elliot (Lead Guitarist), Hareesh (Rhythm Guitarist), Seck Min Guang (Vocalist), Gordon Chang (Drummer) and me (Bassist). Our songs are "I Want To Break Free" and instrumental "What Do You Get?". Seck put up a good show though haha~nice one.. Guess how many band members are there in Indeed Intricate. 5? 7?~.~ 10 man 10! Insane~ This is the 1st time that i join a band with 10 people lol~ having a lot of fun though... Loo Keen Loong (Vocalist&Lead Guitarist), Alexander Ching (Rhythm Guitarist), Adrian Chin (Drummer), Heng Yi Wei (Bassist), Khoo Ting Bu & Kevin Kwok (Keyboardist), Lim Su Lin (Pianist), Yap Mann Kim (Cellist), Mr Chong (Guitarist) and me (Pianist&Saxophonist). Our songs are "The Light" and instrument "Chemistry". For this band, we had change a lot of song arrangement especially "Chemistry". We have 3 version of "Chemistry" LOL~ At last we make it as simple as possible due to the lack of time. It's very hard for us to practice because some of us couldn't make it. We hardly have a full band together until the last minute we still manage to practice. Before the 1st session of Quartet fest, we did the sound check and last minute we put the song "Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence" into the Instrumental song. Luckily we manage to play the whole song smoothly. CHEERS!!! :D I've been practicing with 2 band the whole week. Really exhausted but i think it's worth it?? lol.. All the bands are really awesome and did their best.

The event ends around 10 something. After that, Amanda, Billy, Cindy, Eugene, Kenneth, Serene, Shirley, Mann kim and I went for supper. We wanted to eat "ban mee" unfortunately it's full house. Then, we suggested to go Masarap makan. LUCKILY, it's still open...whoo~ we're all really hungry and all of us ordered spaghetti to eat. LOL~ it's kinda fun talking with shirley though..haha.. Speaking hakka with her and mann kim, and my hakka sucks.=.=" needs more practice..hmm... After makan then we went for a walk and saw josephine, vincent, ah keat and others inside Jesselton yum cha. it's almost time for Jesselton to close the shop though, then the wusic Warfare group took a group picture in front of Quartet and we all head back home. I arrived home around 12am and go online for awhile before i sleep...It's been an exhausting day. I'll upload the pictures once i get the pictures. :D
